WE PAY CASH FOR ANY CAR BROUGHT TO US
The car dismantling industry has, in the past had a very poor reputation for professionalism, environmental performance and customer service. However, things are changing and R.J. king & sons Ltd. are at the forefront of these changes.
R.J. king & Sons are constantly assessing and addressing the impacts of the business upon the environment. By far the greatest impact is the way in which scrap cars are processed and destroyed. In this respect, we have rigorous procedures in place. This covers not only how we treat individual vehicles but the safeguards that are in place on the site to minimise the risk of pollution.
In the late 1980s and early 1990 End of Life Vehicles were designated as a ‘priority waste stream’ by the European Union. This was for two main reasons:
because of concerns regarding the increasing amount of waste produced during the disposal of ELVs , (End Of Life Vehicle) and
the very poor environmental performance of traditional ‘car breakers’ and ‘scrap yards’
The first version of a European law (Directive) regulating ELV (End Of Life Vehicle) disposal emerged in 1997 and after much heated debate and lobbying by the car manufacturers, it finally became European law in October 2000. It become UK law on 21st April 2002.
Due to these regulations we now have to depolute every car that becomes a ELV (End Of Life Vehicle)
We notify DVLA via the internet to relieve you of making a SORN
